These boxes are crafted from 3/8 inch Poplar, Oak, Maple or Cherry. They have a recessed top and bottom made from 1/4 inch Maple, Oak, or Cherry plywood. The corners are mitered and the leading edges are rounded over to offer them a stunning finished appearance.They have an interlocking hinged lid with 90 degree stop hinges to support the cover. And last, they have a small ornamental latch to keep them closed securely. We sand the within and outside so they are ready for surface right from the box. The outside dimensions of these boxes are around 13 3/4 x 7 1/4 x 4 inches, with an overall within area of 13 x 6 1/2 x 3 1/4.
