A wonderful needlecrafts magazine dating from 1936. It includes numerous sewing/ embroidery jobs – including a cutwork panel (Art Deco style trees), embroidered family linen (consisting of a home tea cosy), a lesson in dressmaking (shirts/ tops) and a calendar including Crinoline Woman type concepts (please see images). There are knitting patterns for 3 females’s garments (a cable-stitch cardigan, a coat and a sweatshirt/ jumper), plus a number of intriguing advertisements, including an amazing full-page colour advert on the back page (for Anchor embroidery threads)

** Please keep in mind: with the exception of the complimentary transfer (visualized on the cover), the majority of the embroidery and sewing projects required transfers/ patterns which were NOT included in the magazine and needed to be acquired independently. Nevertheless, the guidance keeps in mind/ diagrams are clear in many cases and it should be possible for the seasoned needleworker to reproduce numerous of the designs without using transfers. At the minimum, this volume will certainly provide heaps of inspiration and practical guidance for developing your own vintage-inspired tasks

Full directions are offered the knitting jobs – although kindly note that this is a UK publication and that changes may have to be made by global purchasers (eg needle/ pin sizes). In reasonably good condition, though the staples have actually rusted – the pages are loose as an outcome and there are corrosion marks/ little holes where the staples were located. Spinal column is scuffed. Back cover is a bit grubby. General age discolouration. However otherwise good. Internal pages are clean on the whole with no spots (apart from afore-mentioned corrosion), tears or notes. Very little creasing. The totally free transfer is in excellent unused condition
