Vintage Barbarella Graphic Novel Comic Book by slugwork
45,00 USD
This is a paperback Barbarella graphic novel by Jean-Claude Forest, featuring Jane Fonda on the front cover. I believe it is a first edition paperback, copyright 1968. It is in fairly great condition with essentially no yellowing of the pages. There is a slight scuff on the lower ideal edge of the front cover, which you can see in the image if you enlarge it. Besides that, it is good!
Barbarella began as a comic and was then made into the movie starring Jane Fonda, directed by Roger Vadim and produced by Dino DeLaurentis. In the book Barbarella takes a trip through area and makes a forced landing on the world Lythion. She obviously has to battle monsters and robotics and satisfies handsome males (obviously) in her adventures. The description on the back states, & quot; & quot; … whether fighting sadists or turning her ray weapon on gelatinous beasts, she can not appear to prevent losing all or part of her skin-tight space fit. & Quot; & Quot; So you get the concept – not a book for kids, haha!
This would be a great book movie enthusiasts, comic enthusiasts, scifi buffs, or for your nerdy coz who resides in mom’s basement … It is an enjoyable collectable, and no doubt seldom discovered in this condition!
