LUSTROUS WENSLEYDALE LOCKS HAND DYED – CHESTNUT – 10 GRAMS (0.3 oz.) 10 Grams (0.3 oz .)
These TOP QUALITY, beautiful BRITISH Chestnut Wensleydale locks have been completely hand prepared and hand dyed by ourselves from the sheep to the end product, using non-toxic acid dyes, eco friendly woolwash and lots of time and care.
There are two lengths available in this colour:
1 ) Extra Long SHEARLING locks sheared for the 1st time) have an extra long staple length and have an average
length of between 8 & quot; (20.5 cm) and 12 & quot; + (30.5 cm).
2) Standard locks have an average length of between 4 & quot; (10 cm) and 8 & quot; (20.5 cm)
Our & quot; Rare Breed & quot; Wensleydale wool is Pure-Bred and has come from sheep that are registered with the Wensleydale sheep society. We are planning to extend our flock of sheep to include the & quot; EVEN RARER & quot; Black Wensleydale sheep as part of a breeding programme that we are introducing here that will assist in the continuity of their existence by opening up new bloodlines. Most of our wool profits will be going into this as well as the normal running costs ie Feed, shelter, Bedding, Vet fees (very expensive), field maintenance etc. etc.
