What To Pack for Miami Art Basel

Oh Miami! Home to palm trees and sunshine. Pink skies and blue water. And through Sunday, it will be home to Art Basel, a traveling international art show. Almost one hundred thousand people from all over the world flock to the resort beach town to see the newest, brightest and most outrageous art in the world. The show is held annually in Basel, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong and serves as a stage for the world’s premiere contemporary and modern art shows. Art Basel was founded by gallerists in 1970 and has been a driving force in supporting the role that galleries play in the development of artists for over the last forty years. So what, do you ask, does a Free People girl wear to an event like Art Basel? Good question…

Keep in mind that there are numerous shows happening all over the city and at all times of the day. You’ll see party gowns and ripped boyfriend jeans. Leather mini skirts and floor length caftans. Sky high leather pumps and beaten up converse. You get the point. The only real thing you need to wear is confidence. Miami Beach is busting at the seams with culture right now, take advantage and be yourself. Be inspired by the creativity and energy that is flowing through the city.
