White Cotton Baby Dress – Vintage Batiste by tinymuses

I think this vintage infant dress dates from the fifties. It is made from a white cotton batiste fabric and has the most terrific soft feel. It remains in excellent condition and freshly washed. Please look carefully at all the pictures for all the small details. The fourth photo is the finest representation of the real color.

The dress front has dainty faggoting and machine embroidery that comprise the yoke. The hem has an appliqued and scalloped edging with more embroidery.

The neck edge and slightly puffed sleeves have a small scalloped edge. The back closes with two little buttons and has 3 little pleats on each side to give fullness

There is a little staining on the ideal shoulder which you can see in the 4th image. There is a minute staining in the very center of the front hem. It is so small you can hardly find it.
