Made with an entire sari’s worth (simply over 4 lawns) of vintage silk material, I created these trousers to be more flattering than the basic design for broad hareems- they have actually broad pleats instead of collecting to get rid of bunchiness without compromising volume. And boy, do they look beautiful during spins! There is also a fitted yoke at the leading to cut down much more on excess fabric where you do not desire it, with a framed non-rolling rubber band. These are really enjoyable for me making, and a costume standard I believe everybody must have!

Each sari is vintage & one of a kind! I enjoy to move to using more classic material to be more green, however I’m also really fussy about the quality!

This sari is a brilliant medium purple and gold iridescent silk with a salmon and gold yoke with lots of metallic thread outlining. Has that luscious shine and good drape of silk!

Overall length: 46 inches
Optimum hip: 56 inches

The waist band stretches from 36 inches to 52 inches, and they are 46 inches long, however can be shortened, or you can do exactly what I do and just pull them up a bit higher on your ankle/ leg. IMHO, pantaloons look best when they have to do with 6-8 inches longer than your outer seam measurement. The design has a 36 inch outer seam measurement (very common!) As a reference.

If you enjoy these trousers but they’re too long/ huge modifications are possible! If you’re on the cusp of sizes, I recommend rising one size, as these pants look much better loose rather than tight.

The elastic is available in both the waist and cuffs, so it can be taken in or replaced easily.

The fabric is a recycled vintage silk sari- I suggest mild cycle or hand washing these in cold water and hanging to dry. The fabric was pre-laundered before sewing and selected for its sturdiness. Steaming is fantastic for getting rid of wrinkles. Sturdy seams, constructed to last!!
