Cherry Cheese Danish
About This Recipe
“This is an awesome dessert…reminds me of cherry-topped cheesecake, but MUCH easier to make:) Every time I take this dessert to a party, I ALWAYS get asked for the recipe (I just take a few copies with me/lol). I also like it with blueberry pie filling, but the fam. likes cherry, so that’s usually what I use.”

“Finally got around to making this and now wish I had gotten around to it sooner! This is sweet and rich and very very good. Tastes like it was alot more work than it was. My kids and grandkids all loved it – we put vanilla ice cream on top! This will be a regular at our house.Thank you for sharing a great recipe!”
“Oh YUM!! This is VERY good. It was so easy to make. It’s a perfect recipe for making a quick breakfast treat for the family, good enough for your most distinguished guests. I used cherry pie filling this time, and I will try the blueberry next. Hmmm- strawberry? peach? Thank you Manda!!”
“When I was making this I was thinking that there was gonna be too much cream cheese. I was wrong. It tasted like 50%danish and 50%cheescake. I didn’t have powdered sugar on hand so I just used granulated. I can’t decide which tastes better; served slightly warm or completely chilled. Either way I tried it was gooooooooood. Very easy too.”
“Manda,This is so easy to make to be so delicious,It was the best I had it for breakfast with a breakfast casserole when my friend from Pennsylvania was here for a visit,Her and her husband just loved it,and took the recipe home with them.Thank You, Darlene “
“Nothing less then 5 stars! I’d make these for anyone, or any event. They were great this morning for breakfast and they’d also be a great dessert. Thanks for posting! Will definately make again.”
“Great but I modified it…I cut everything in half (even used half a beaten egg!) so I could do it with only one can of crescent rolls.I rolled out the crescent rolls, sealing the seams together then put the cream cheese mix down the middle, followed by canned cherries.I then cut the edges of the dough laterally into ‘strips’ and braided it.Baked for 15 minutes and voila…everyone loved it!I thought it was too sweet, so left out the sugar the 2nd time I made the cream cheese mixture.I also used raspberry filling and some drained, thawed raspberries. The possiblilties are endless with this- thanks!”
“This was very good.My husband, kids, and I all really enjoyed it.So, so easy to make. Thanks for the recipe!”
“help! It was delicious but for the life of me it was not solid at all. I tried cooking the bottom layer longer and yet still runny. Perhaps mix in some cornstarch do you think? It still brought rave reviews and death threats when I hadn’t brought in the recipe after 3 days..haha”
“This is so yummy. I can’t get ready made crescent rolls, so I used short crust pastry instead. Thanks so much for helping me gain weight!!!”
“I’ve been making these for years and they are easy and sooo delicious!Mine are a tiny bit more sinful as I drizzle with a confectioner’s sugar glaze instead of just dusting with powdered sugar. Thanks for posting this one!”
“This was really yummy! And it is sooo easy to do! I halved the recipe and used “Light” cream cheese. Delicious!”
“I have to agree with everyone else, this is sooooo incredibly yummy. My kids couldn’t wait for it to be done baking, and I had a hard time getting them to wait until it was cool enough to eat.I have already been told I’m making this again.”
