FP Me x Betty Magazine in the English Countryside

Betty Magazine, who’s philosophy is to empower and unify women with a youthful state of mind and nostalgic heart, has been one of our favourite magazines since it launched 4 years ago. So when they asked us if we were up for doing a special Betty and FP Me collaboration, we jumped for joy and knew that it was going to be a very special day! We decided on a gorgeous countryside cottage in beautiful Suffolk, about 2 hours away from London. And when we arrived on the Saturday morning we were not disappointed, with its stunning gardens and gorgeous out-houses, we were in heaven! The morning started off hazy but our 8 FPme girls bought the sun along with them, and we were blessed with a beautiful day, perfect for hanging out in the garden.

Because we don’t have stores here in the UK, when the girls saw the room full of Free People clothes and accessories that they had to play with, the excitement level went through the roof. Each girl had a very different style, and it was great to see what pieces they radiated towards and what they styled with what. The white dresses on offer were definitely the Heroes’ of the day, the intricate detailing and cuts are so different to what we normally see here in the UK.

Lunch was prepared by Betty’s very own Charlotte, with help from Xochi Balfour of The Naturalista (recipe post coming next week!) The garden offered lots of extra ingredients including freshly picked figs, apples, lemons, sweet peas and herbs. It was the garden that kept on giving! In the afternoon we gave the girls an exclusive glimpse of our October collection and they all got to choose an outfit to model in Betty’s Winter issue.
