“This was my first time trying okra — ever — so I don’t know whether it enhanced or diminished the flavor of the vegetable itself, but it was a nice light dish. I used frozen baby okra, and onion powder because I didn’t have onion flakes, but otherwise, I stuck to the recipe as written. I didn’t find it all that “hot,” though!! Thanks for posting.”
“This was an excellent and very tasty recipe!! The only things I changed were: added some beef stock mix because I found that this recipe could use some salt, and added lemon juice. This made it taste perfect. I used fresh okra because thats what I had on hand (I chopped it because I didn’t know if the frozen okra was already chopped or not). I definantly recommend this recipe!!UPDATE: I just had this again and this time added red peppers, spinach, and beans for a complete meal!! IT was, as before, EXCELLENT!!!”
