“I halved the recipe and baked in a 4×8 loaf pan, the proportion was perfect. I also used real butter in place of the oleo. Yum!”
“This is a great recipe. I took the suggestion of real butter and added 1 tsp. of pure vanilla. Thanks for the suggestion bhnash and henryclay. I added 1/2 c. of rasins. This is a keeper!UPDATE: 7-16-2010, We are still enjoying this recipe. Recipe has been requested by many. Thanks for posting.”
“Everyone raved about this…Great taste. I added 1 tsp of vanilla to the sauce.”
“I’ve had monkey bread before, but not with pecans! This was fantastic. The family cleaned it up in one sitting!”
“This was fabulous. And it was a big hit with my entire family.I had a little trouble with the amount of oleo called for though. The recipe calls for 3/4 to 1 1/2 cups oleo, so I split the difference and used 1 cup.It was too much (and I ended up with a lot of the sweet gooey glob on the counter when I inverted the Monkey Bread onto a platter). So next time I’ll use the minimum stated of 3/4 cup.But even despite my sticky mess this was decadently wonderful.”
“This is a wonderful recipe that I have been making for years.I make if for the grandchildren. In fact, I just made one last week!I don’t use the pecans because the grandchildren like it better without them……..this is a must try recipe!!!!!!Pell City”
