  • “Easy & delish! I used low-fat crescent roll dough, light hot dogs, and 2% cheese slices. A kid pleaser {as well as a picky DH pleaser!} for sure! Served with Recipe #31679 and veggie chips from Central Market for a little balance in the meal. Thanks for sharing!”

  • “You can’t go wrong with pigs in a blanket!I like to make these as a treat once in awhile for DH.I’ll definitely be making them again. Thanks for posting!”

  • “These were so good! I haven’t had pigs in the blanket since I was young, and these really were a special treat. I was hesitant about using cheese, but was pleasantly surprised. The taste wasn’t overbearing, and just added a nice creamy contrast to the crispy croissant. Extremely easy to make and very tasty, this is a lovely recipe!”

  • “This recipe is a classic.I served it on a lazy night with homemade mac and cheese and a salad.Of course, there was ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping.”

  • “Always a hit with the kids! I liked the idea of cutting the hot dogs and putting the cheese down the middle. I used American cheese, reduced-fat crescent rolls and reduced-fat hot-dogs.The kids enjoyed dipping them in mustard and ketchup.Thanx!”

  • “I really like these things. They took me back to my childhood when my mom used to make them for me.My kids said to add this to our family cookbook (for when they grow up and start cooking).I served these with baked asparagus and applesauce, as you suggested. It was a wonderful dinner!”

  • “These were great!I had never made them before with cheese.YUM!!!Definately a keeper!”

  • “We had a pool party this summer and while we grilled out for the adults, we made these for the kids. The adults were actually complaining because they didn’t get any of these.A real hit with the kids too.My husband is asking for these for lunch today! Thanks for posting.”

  • “I couldn’t remember for the life of me how to set the oven or how to prepare the hot dogs for these. Thanks for posting this recipe!I love these, but have never fixed them for my kids. They’ll love them too!”

  • “I grew up eating pigs in a blanket, and now I fix them for my own children…easy and tasty recipe. Thank you for posting!”

  • “Well, I didn’t have any crescent rolls so I used biscuits instead. I personally hate hot dogs, however, my kids just love them. To me this was OK at best but all the kids said they could eat this every day for the rest of their lives, they insisted on five stars but I’m giving it 4. It is very quick, easy and most kids could do this on there own. Not very nutritional though so serve it with a salad and a fruit kabob.”

  • “I made these with cheddar brats, reduced fat crescents, and American cheese slices. It was clean out the fridge day, and this is what I had on hand. These were incredibly delicious. My husband ate three! Thanks for the recipe.”

  • “We also like to wrap with canned bread sticks in a spiral fashion.Even the grownups like these. “

  • “I was so surprised to see these here…I have made these for my kids for years…they just loved them…now they are all grown up and I will be emailing this recipe to them so they can make them now…”

  • “I’ve made these most of my married life. They’re a great quick meal. Not fancy food, just a tasty fill-up. I made them for my mother one night I was over there, and she loved them. She had never had them before! Can you imagine?I like to stretch the dough to cover the hot dogs better. And try them with sharp cheese sometime too.”

  • “Thank you, BarbaraK…Made these tonight and the kids loved them!Ate the whole batch!Very simple to make, and the crescent roll dough is a little sweet anyway, and I offered them a wide range of dipping sauces, which tickled them to have so many choices…Thanks for posting – this is a keeper for my family!:)”

  • “very quick and good meal. “

  • “These are sooooo good!I like to use smoky links (the ones that are just a bit smaller than hot dogs) because they are the perfect size and its great for an easy breakfast too.Either way, they are addicitive.”
