  • Reviews

  • “I suspected this might be a little too bland for our taste, so I added some beef granules to the water. Glad I did…..it added some extra flavour. I will definitely make it again.”

  • “This was really quite good.I cooked the bacon in the microwave to save time, so it was relatively easy to prepare.I think this dish would compliment any entree.”

  • “I added some beef broth as well.Had some fun with it and added celery and stewed diced tomatoes as well.”

  • “Yummy dish! I used Zartarain’s Wild Rice mix, so there were seasonings in it…this made it delish! This was an adopted tag for NoraMarie, which she had chosen for Derf’s Cook-a-Thon.Update: Made again; loved it just as much as the first time!”

  • “I made this as part of a Cook-A-Thon for Derf and as an Adopted tag for my dear friend Nora Marie in the Cook-A-Thon.We found this rather bland. The nutty flavor of wild rice rice definatly came through.I used 3 TBS of the bacon drippings while sauteing the rice, onions, and mushrooms. I added additional pepper and garlic salt after cooking. We felt the addition of garlic salt greatly enhanced the recipe.”
